Year of Publication: 2005“Ascending” is a limited edition print published by Francis Dick, consisting of 80 signed & numbered copies, 8 Artist’s Proofs and 8 Remarques.
All prints are hand produced by the screen printing process. Francis was involved in the print making, as well as, checking the each stencil and copy in the edition.
This piece is dedicated to my late cousin Anthony Dawson. One of his last pieces he carved was a Raven headdress. It is one of the most beautiful three-dimensional pieces I’ve ever experienced.
This painting is of a raven which is ascending to the heavens.
